The establishment of the Ramprasad Poddar National Award.

Mr. Ramprasad Poddar was born in Rajgarh (Raj.) in 1914. After obtaining a bachelor's degree from Agra University in 1935, he served at the Birla Pratishthan Jiya Ji Rao Cotton Mills in Gwalior. In 1943, he became the general manager of Birla Cotton Mills in Delhi. In 1953, he was elected president of the Delhi Factory Owners Federation. In 1954, he became a senior executive at Century Textiles and Industries Ltd. in Mumbai. Mr. Ramprasad Poddar provided notable service to the organization 'Naveen Kalyan Kshetriya Sena', for which he was honored with the title of "Major" by His Excellency the President.

You have always been dedicated to the upliftment and development of society. You served as the president of the Marwari Sammelan and the Agarwal Community Fund for many years. You were also a trustee of the Agroha Development Trust, and you had a deep interest in the development projects of Agroha.

Shri Ramprasad Poddar was a versatile personality rich in multifaceted talents. Along with being a skilled administrator, manager, and social worker, he was also a thinker and author. He authored five books on management topics, showcasing his literary talent by writing on spiritual subjects such as Ramayana and Shrimad Bhagavad. The exemplary personality of Manjar Ramprasad Poddar continued to inspire future generations. In recognition of his contributions, the Agroha Development Trust has decided to institute the 'Shri Ramprasad Poddar National Award' in his sacred memory, annually awarding one talented individual who has made significant contributions to society, business, industry, literature, and the development of Agroha.

In this series of awards, the first award was given to Dr. Swarajyamani Agarwal from Jaunpur, the second award was given to Mr. Sheetal Kumar Agarwal from Mumbai, and the third award was presented to Mr. Balakrishna Goyanka from Chennai.

The Agrodha Vikas Trust Mumbai Committee has also undertaken significant promotional activities. Every year, a large event called "Pratibha Darshan" is organized, showcasing excellent and attractive memorabilia under various names such as "Jhankar", "Darpan", "Jhalak", "Pratibha Darshan", etc. In addition to this, they have prepared artistic posters, paintings, stickers, and musical cassette compilations. The Mumbai Committee has also created a video cassette featuring information about Agrodha, along with showcasing the activities of the Mumbai Committee.

In terms of promotion, GTV (Global Television) made a significant contribution by broadcasting a special program on October 16, 1994, providing complete information about the current situation in Agrodha. A plan has been made for widespread distribution of this video cassette to further promote the cause. Additionally, GTV continues to play an important role in promoting Agrodha Dham by broadcasting programs related to it from time to time.

The Mumbai Committee has established an exemplary organization by weaving a network through central committees and subcommittees, involving women, men, and youth.

Publication of Agrodha-Dham-Patrika and literary works, etc.

In 1987, the publication of the monthly magazine named Agrodha Dham was initiated. Mr. Nandkishor Goyanka has been deeply involved in its promotion and dissemination with his time, effort, and resources. Through this magazine, sufficient emphasis has been placed on the promotion and dissemination of the construction, development, and beliefs of Agrodha. Books related to Maharaja Agrasen and the Agrawal community, such as Agroda: An Historic Heritage, Legacy of Valor, In the Poetry of Agrodha-Dham, Maharaja Agrasen Gaya (Graphic Story), One Brick, One Rupee, Maharaja Agrasen Chalisa, Jhankar, Pratibhadarshan, etc., have been published (see appropriate list on page 63).

On the full moon day of Chaitra, April 15, 1995, Mr. Subhash Chandra Goyal, the chairman of Agrodha Development Trust, initiated the auspicious start of the Maharaja Agrasen Jyoti Rath Yatra with a deity worship ceremony in Agrodha. This Agroda-Dham Jyoti Rath Yatra has traveled to various states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, and so on. Wherever the Rath Yatra reached, a grand procession was organized. This has led to increased awareness about Agrodha Dham among people, and funds have also been collected.
